HA!
Stephen Harper wants to improve his image.
The Conservative leader is embarking on a cross-country tour, trying to improve his own and the party's popularity.
Recent polls suggest the Tories have been losing voter support.
Deputy Conservative leader Peter MacKay says Harper realizes he has his work cut out for him as he hits the barbecue circuit in the coming weeks.

Here comes the Preston Manning turtle neck "hip" conservative look.

2. Do you want this guy?
He's trying to high jack our state and we'd like to push him off on somebody else.

3. Bah, he has zero credibility
He tried and failed to overthrough the gov't, and in doing so spent his 15 minutes.

4. Hi Stephen here's a suggestion for you.

Hold a press conference on a sea-doo while dressed in a wet suit.

5. ROFL, my thoughts exactly!
Anything he does will be the equivalent of that, I have little doubt. When the leader of a party has to 'improve their image' means they haven't gotten the message yet. It isn't the 'image', it is their attitude, their arrogance, their lack of political 'acumen' that's the problem and only a brain transplant might help, lol.

Coming soon to a barbecue near you: A warmer, funnier Stephen Harper

Conservative Leader Stephen Harper will hit the festival and barbecue circuit across Canada this summer to persuade voters he's a nice, warm guy with a good sense of humour.

Prime Minister Paul Martin, who has often battled his own waistline, took some time out in Question Period to offer advice to his political enemy.

"I understand the dangers of the barbecue circuit, and I would therefore like to table this document for the benefit of the Leader of the Opposition," he told the House of Commons.

"It's called The South Beach Diet."

Nothing like kicking a man when he's down, eh, Mr. Prime Minister?

Jaysus, I never would have guessed the guy had a sense of brutal humour... that's a side of Martin I wouldn't mind seeing more of.
