with regards to SSM. He's a young, blue collar worker with minimal education (grade 12 from Winnipeg). Me, an old, pink collar worker with too much education and not enough training (lol). We got into a semi-drunken discussion about SSM. Me=for, him=against. I asked him why? Well, because, because, it's yucky. I hit him hard and down low. With logic and reason. He didn't stand a chance.
Next day, I hear from his girlfriend (friend of mine) who was laughing! She said she couldn't believe that He had changed his mind about SSM simply by me explaining to him that it was a human rights issue; nothing to do with morality. He had been parroting something he had heard, and his feelings.
Baby steps people. Baby steps. Maybe I can eventually convince him to vote NPD, or at the very least, vote.
