Liberals to report for work despite shutdown of Parliament

OTTAWA–Liberal MPs and senators will return to work as scheduled in the nation's capital later this month, even though Parliament has been suspended until early March.

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff informed his caucus during a conference call Tuesday that he expects them to report for work on Jan. 25.

1. Glad to read this, but...

...I think all the other parties need to follow suit for this to be effective. Otherwise, I fear it'll appear as "just another Liberal stunt".

Mind you, the attempted coalition last year was more or less trashed as a stunt, too.

It'll be interesting viewing regardless.
