If it is within his power to call back Parliament before Jan 27, could he not `slew-foot` the opposition by suddenly recalling Parliament while they are on their break back home? He could use the opportunity to pass poison pill legislation of some sort.
Anyway, reading that passage in Valpy`s article made me suspicious of some kind of chicanery.
