Visiting Quebec City in December...what neat stuff should I know?
I know it's picturesque, historic, French, and COLD in the winter....what other things should I know for a 4 day vacation visit between Christmas and New Years??

2. my best friend just had a honeymoon there
they did an excursion a little north of town and went dog-sledding. He said it's got LOTS of great historical stuff to see in the old part of town. great drive between there and montreal.

3. It is COLD, bring warm clothes
I was there eons ago in the winter, enjoyed it despite the fact that I froze my ass off half the time. Helps to speak a bit o French, I found!

4. It's Where We Got Food Poisoning Many Years Ago...
Halibut...don't eat fish... ;) Hotel Frontenac is beautiful...Board walk is beautiful...old cannons here and there...don't remember too much else...They didn't speak much English then, not like Montreal...

6. Bring speed skates or rent them ...
and go for a skate on the Ste. Foy Oval (a suburb/small town) on the out skirts of QC.
