KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (CP) - Canadian soldiers have killed an Afghan National Police officer in one of two apparent friendly-fire shooting incidents in southern Afghanistan.
The Canadians later discovered that the truck was carrying Afghan police officers who were out of uniform.

A short time later, NATO says, a motorcycle carrying two people approached the same position at high speed.
Canadians once again opened fire, injuring both motorcyclists.
