Tories drop 12 points in B.C.

The federal Conservatives have taken a major hit in support among B.C. voters, according to a new public opinion poll.

The latest Ipsos Reid survey still gives the Tories the lead in this province with 36 per cent of the decided vote, but that’s down 12 points from the previous poll. The NDP now trail narrowly with 33 per cent, while the Liberals have 23 per cent and five per cent say they would vote Green.

Nationally, the Conservatives have 39 per cent support of decided voters polled versus 27 per cent for the Liberals and 17 per cent for the NDP.

The poll found B.C. voters are most likely to disapprove of Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s performance so far.

I don't know if you've ever been to it, but she's managed to keep a strong base of supporters in it. Not to mention the fact that the upscale condo development in her riding is the perfect demographic for growing Liberal voters.
