Four Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Four Canadian soldiers were killed during a series of bloody attacks in the Afghan province of Kandahar Thursday.

CTV News Ottawa Bureau Chief Robert Fife said government sources confirmed three NATO soldiers killed on the outskirts of Kandahar city were Canadian.

They died just hours after Canadian soldier Cpl. Christopher Jonathan Reid was killed when his LAV III vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb around 30 kilometres west of Kandahar City in the Pashmul area.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper said while the loss of soldier's lives in Afghanistan was tragic, the deaths would not affect Canada's operations there.

suit, playing quick draw, that is the only kind of service harper would have done. Diefenbaker actively served in WW1, first PM to have served, it seems he is the only one.
