"A ceasefire and a return to the status quo is a victory for Hezbollah." (on Question Period today)

Excuse me. Who's demanding a return to the status quo in addition to a ceasefire? Who says you can't have one without the other?

I don't remember Canadian politicians pulling strawman shit like this until lately. Or maybe I just haven't been paying attention.

Regardless, Peter should have been grilled a little more mercilessly by the Question Period hosts.

:argh:

1. One of the first things they did, obviously, is put in a fax machine
with direct contact to the bush cabal's PR people so they could tell them their talking points. It is disgusting but, sadly, not surprising. I think we all knew this kind of shit would be coming out of their mouths. I only hope they pay dearly for it and soon.

3.  I wonder if the faxed talking points include the words...
flip-flop, lol. All kidding aside, I hadn't heard that Israel is now willing to talk about a cease-fire, I sure hope so and the sooner the better.
