More Canadians unhappy with federal response to Lebanon crisis: poll

MONTREAL -- Forty-two per cent of respondents in a new poll believed the federal government did not move quickly enough to evacuate Canadians from war-torn Lebanon.

Another 36 per cent in the Leger Marketing survey said the response was adequate, while the remainder said they didn’t know or refused to answer.

In total, 3,040 adults were surveyed Wednesday and Thursday and were asked the following question: “Are the Canadian government’s efforts to quickly repatriate Canadians staying in Lebanon adequate or inadequate?”
