Speaking of un-happy Conservatives, Diane Abolnczy seems to be one. She's been a comptent opposition MP, and critic since 1993. She doesn't come across as particularly scary, but because of the "squeeze", was left out of cabinet.
But before I get to that, I think this is my favourite quote. It's quite honest, and quite true. I really do hope that people don't tune out, because it will only let the corrupt politicians get away with their corruption, thus weakining the system as a whole:
There were concerns about prompting voters to conclude that the Conservatives were just as cynical as the Liberals they replaced.
“I'm quite sure you're going to hear that. Why wouldn't you?” said Ms. (sic) Thompson.
“That wouldn't be a surprising comment coming from anyone that was a voter. . . a lot of comments that come from voters don't surprise me — and a lot of things up here (in Ottawa) do surprise me, even from my own party.”Speaking of Reynolds though, the man is hugely arrogant. I find him nausateingly annoying. He almost lost in 2004, and when I saw the early results showing him loosing I was really happy, only to wake up finding out that, yes, he was re-elected. Fortunatley he didn't run again, and as a slap in the face to him, his Conservative succssessor didn't hold the riding.

"Yeah, me too,'' she said in an interview as she watched others bask in the pomp and splendour of a hard-won ascension to power.
Instead, Ablonczy followed the proceedings on TV in Ottawa just a short drive from the opulence of Rideau Hall.
Harper summoned her to the capital more than a week ago to explain that there wasn't room in cabinet for another Calgary-area minister, she said.
The prime minister represents Calgary Southwest while Jim Prentice, whose related experience landed him the Indian Affairs portfolio, is the MP for Calgary North Centre.
"Obviously I'm disappointed,'' Ablonczy said. "But you don't always get everything that you want.
"I've lived long enough to understand and accept that,'' she added, her tone doggedly upbeat if not entirely convincing.
