FEINGOLD HOLDS LISTENING SESSIONS IN
PORTAGE AND MARATHON COUNTIES ON JUNE 4

U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will hold Listening Sessions in Portage and Marathon Counties on Saturday, June 4. Senator Feingold has pledged to hold Listening Sessions in all of Wisconsin’s 72 counties each year of his six-year term and this will be the Senator’s 13th year of holding them. These will be Feingold’s 34th and 35th sessions of 2005, and 898th and 899th since 1993.

His Portage County Listening Session will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the Commons at Rosholt High School, 346 Randolph Street, Rosholt. The meeting will last up to an hour.

His Marathon County Listening Session will be held at 11:45 a.m. at the Stratford Community Hall, 300 East Larch Street, Stratford. The meeting will last up to an hour.

“I am once again looking forward to meeting with constituents in Portage and Marathon Counties,” Senator Feingold said. “These listening sessions are both an excellent opportunity for me to hear directly from constituents about any issues or concerns they may have and offer Wisconsinites a chance to express their views to me without having to travel far from their own homes.”

NOTE: SENATOR FEINGOLD WILL BE AVAILABLE TO MEET WITH THE MEDIA FOR A SHORT TIME PRIOR TO THESE LISTENING SESSIONS.

2. I attended the session in Stratford.
(The good-looking guy in the back with concerns about Energy Bill exemptions for corporations on lawsuits from MTBE groundwater contamination, etc).

It was a good session with about 40 people in attendance. Some entertainment as at the end a man came in and his comment was kindly taken as the last one even though he didn't fill out a slip. He mentioned something about the appearance of the "Blessed Virgin Mary" and mixed in some "Pro-life" mumble jumble and pronounced that Feingold should be voted out of office because of views on abortion.

4. I'm not sure
He came in at the very end with a bundle of a variety of religious pamphlets. About 50-55 looking. He hung around a couple of minutes to assail people one on one for a while but I avoided him. Maybe I look beyond salvation.

5. Ah, yes. Sounds like one of our Catholic fundies in the area
There is a large Catholic family around Marshfield, very fundie, always writing fanatical letters to the editor and crashing Dem/Pro Choice events. They have quite a reputation around here.

One of them showed up at a Dean meet-up before the primary to tell us all that Dean was a murderer and we shouldn't support him. But he was much older - 60 to 70. Though he is a bachelor, his brothers had a bazillion kids. This was probably one of them.

7. Yes you both seem to be right.
He is the person (Ralph Lang) identified in the middle of this
1 1/2 year old newspaper article. Something happened this evening that made me certain of it (no, unlike Ralph I did not witness a miracle).
