Photo ID Bill Delivered to Governor: Kedzie Represents Senate Leadership
Madison – “The people in my hometown of Elkhorn or in the city of Delafield must be certain that
when they go to the polls to cast a ballot, their vote actually counts! That is not happening now and
Voter ID will change that,” declared Assistant Senate Majority Leader Neal Kedzie (R-Elkhorn) at a press conference about Assembly Bill 63, the Photo ID Bill.
Kedzie was joined by Assembly Speaker John Gard (R-Peshtigo), the bills authors, Senator Joe Leibham (R-Sheboygan) and Representative Jeff Stone (R-Greendale), as well as, several other lawmakers. The group called on the Governor to sign into law AB 63, which requires anyone wishing to vote in Wisconsin to present a state issued identification card, driver’s license, or military I.D. before being allowed to vote.
Since the November 2004 election, news accounts from the Milwaukee area have indicated that there may have been up to 10,000 votes cast inappropriately. Reasons for the discrepancies included individuals who voted at a non-existent address, individuals who voted despite the fact that the Post Office had returned their registration verification card as being non-deliverable, or people who registered at the polls with flawed or invalid registration cards.
“This bill received strong support from both sides of the aisle in both houses of the Legislature. Perhaps more importantly, the majority of Wisconsin residents are strongly in favor of this bill,” noted Kedzie. “The Governor must listen to the voters of the state and protect their rights. Baseball season is in full swing and now the governor has an opportunity to step up to the plate and set right
Wisconsin’s election process.”

Added emphasis is mine.
So if the pukes want votes to count, why don't they focus on real reform? How about some funding for effective poll worker training? How about auditing proceedures that would prevent the loss of over 700 votes as happened in Medford when a tabulator was improperly set up by the company. Over 700 votes didn't count in the last election and they think voter ID will be the solution. Jeebus!
I think it's time for us to put out some LTTE's to combat the lies and misinformation.
