MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- State Rep. Lorraine Seratti will not seek re-election this fall to her seat representing Wisconsin's northeast corner.

Seratti, R-Spread Eagle, issued a statement Monday saying it was time to move on after serving the district that includes Florence, Forest, Marinette, Oconto and Shawano counties since her election in 1992.

(snip)

Seratti, 54, led the Assembly's Small Business Committee this session and has been a frequent critic of the Department of Natural Resources, especially its policies affecting private property rights.

She was arrested in 2000 for driving while intoxicated after authorities received reports she was driving recklessly and had sped through a stop sign. She used profanity after she was stopped in refusing to take a blood test, but a breath test showed her blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit.

Wooooooooooooooo!

Today is a great day!

8. By the time August rolls around...
I'll have moved to UW Stevens Point. I won't be of much help there. Besides, I'm in John Gard's (R-Sun Prarie... I mean Peshtigo) district.

9. I spend a great deal of my summer and fall in her region hunting
There seems to be a fair bit of racism in the community against Native Americans. Let's hope those people are also the kind that don't vote.
