WI State Chairs endorse Dean
Just got this e-mail.....

Madison—Democratic Party of Wisconsin State Chair Linda Honold and 1st Vice Chair Tim Sullivan today announced their endorsement of former Vermont Governor Howard Dean to be the next Chair of the Democratic National Committee.

“After extensive research and talking to all the candidates I have decided to cast my vote for Howard Dean because I believe he has a strong commitment to growing state parties. I feel that the Democratic Party of Wisconsin will continue to grow and prosper with Governor Dean as the next DNC Chair” said Honold.

Honold serves on the Executive Committee of the Association of State Democratic Chairs (ASDC) which met Sunday in New York City. She voted to recommend Dean to the whole ASDC which voted overwhelming in favor of supporting Dean for DNC chair in a teleconference Monday.

Tim Sullivan, a member of AFSCME Council 40, is also supporting Governor Dean for DNC Chair because he knows that Dean has a strong commitment to the grassroots of the Democratic Party. “His presidential campaign was able to bring college students and labor activists together to work for change. The people he got involved in the Democratic party at the local level were a big reason we were able to carry Wisconsin for John Kerry, and will provide a strong base of support to re-elect Governor Jim Doyle, U.S. Senator Herb Kohl and take back our state legislature from the Republican Party” said Sullivan.

Honold and Sullivan are voting members of the DNC and will cast their ballots for Dean at the DNC winter meeting in Washington, D.C. on February 12.
