We just keep on tuning over the rocks to find NEOCON ‘has been’ for the US Senate Race
Tommy Thompson expected to file papers for US Senate
By WTMJ News Team

Oct. 3, 2011

MADISON- A campaign source tells TODAY'S TMJ4 Charles Benson that Tommy Thompson will file to run for the US Senate on Tuesday.

He also reports Thompson has taken small steps to indicate he is running but him filing the papers with the F.E.C. tomorrow will make his campaign official.

Over the weekend TODAY'S TMJ4 learned State Rep. Jeff Fitzgerald and State Sen. Frank Lasee filed for the US Senate race.

Former Congressman Mark Neumann is officially in.

TODAY'S TMJ4 was also the first to report Madison Hedge Fund guy Eric Hovde, a big Republican donor, is thinking about a run

Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin is the only Democrat in the race so far.

Thompson's spent 20 years in the Assembly, 14 years as Governor and four in the White House as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

3. Even with all his flaws, Tommy will be the "comfort candidate" for many Wisconsin voters...
Kind of a big old drunk teddy bear that you you packed away years ago, but in these crazy times he's familiar and safe (but really, in the subconscious, they know he's dangerous!).

Compared with Walker, he almost seems like a nice guy. I think he's the favorite. Not in Madison, but in most of this state I barely recognize anymore.
