Clarke Plays Politics With People’s Lives, Livelihoods

The issue of contention is in regards to Clarke’s desire to abdicate his responsibilities regarding Huber prisoners. Clarke wants to move the Huber prisoners from the downtown correctional facility to the House of Correction. Clarke claims that he needs to do this to save money."

“Clarke pushed for a long, long time and fought against many members of the Board to get this contract approved. This contract, worth $6 million, was supposed to be such a boon for the county by allowing officers to fill in other posts and lower the escalating overtime that’s been accumulating at HOC.”

They sure love their rent-a-cops



In fact if I was younger I would do it for a $100,000 a year! I am weapons and security trained in the Marines and all Clarke has to do is supply the vans, fuel and insurance and yeilding approx. $59,998,000! How can anybody in their right mind say no to such a deal.
