Clarke Plays Politics With People’s Lives, Livelihoods
"There has been some strife between the County Board and Sheriff David Clarke, which has resulted in a war of worlds between Clarke and some members of the Board, most notably Supervisor Eyon Biddle.

The issue of contention is in regards to Clarke’s desire to abdicate his responsibilities regarding Huber prisoners. Clarke wants to move the Huber prisoners from the downtown correctional facility to the House of Correction. Clarke claims that he needs to do this to save money."

"But if Clarke is having budgetary concerns, there is an internal solution for him

Clarke only has to stop the contract with Wackenhut for prisoner transportation."http://milwaukeecountyfirst.com/

1. Oh my GAW ... $6 Million to transport prisoners ... Wackenhut gotta love this

“Clarke pushed for a long, long time and fought against many members of the Board to get this contract approved. This contract, worth $6 million, was supposed to be such a boon for the county by allowing officers to fill in other posts and lower the escalating overtime that’s been accumulating at HOC.”

They sure love their rent-a-cops

In fact if I was younger I would do it for a $100,000 a year! I am weapons and security trained in the Marines and all Clarke has to do is supply the vans, fuel and insurance and yeilding approx. $59,998,000! How can anybody in their right mind say no to such a deal.

2. That is a cost savings but if you remember back to Rachel's
explanation on walker bringing in those criminals from Wakenhut it was never about the money... It was about taking away the rights of those working for the unions...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7e4bj5rrd8&feature=player_embedded

Nice photo....Are these some of the union folks walker fired?
