Rob Zerban enters race against Ryan
Seems like a decent candidate, although so far is not saying much about the issues.

He does, however, have a good collection of articles critiquing the Ryan budget http://www.robzerban.com/latest-news.html

He does seem to match up well geographically, likely to win in the East.

Is anything going on with re-districting?

2. The Republican redistricting plan would not change this district much
Ryan's district and Sensenbrenner's district would trade a little territory in the western suburbs of Milwaukee, but without any major demographic change. Their main concern is protecting Duffy in the northwestern part of Wisconsin. The plan hasn't been introduced in the legislature yet.

3. interesting
it looks like the only district that is Gerrymandered is the 3rd, where I once lived, although for the time I live there it switched from the 3rd, with Steve Gunderson to the 2nd with Scott Klug until Baldwin took it in 1998 and then it switched back to the 3rd after 2000.

With that redistricting, it looks like Dale Schulz is screwed. I sorta thought he was angling for another run at Kind, but that re-districting would put half of Schulz's State Senate district into the 2nd Congressional district, and also make it easier for Democrats to hold the 3rd. At least Schulz's senate district used to include Sauk County. That may have changed since I lived there.
