4. There is a posse of them
(iunno wtf a gang of squirrels is called...) who watch me menacingly when I'm out on my smoking veranda from the roof of the neighbors' house. They're plotting something, the wee furry bastards...

2. I Woke Up To Fighting Racoons
in my back yard a couple of weeks ago. I've seen foxes in the hood, but never racoons. We live in Denver - by busy streets - these critters were huge.

3. Know what's scary?
We used to feed peanuts to our neighborhood squirrels. They were getting used to taking them out of our hands. One morning I opened the door and no less than twelve of those big suckers came running at me! No more feeding. They'll just have to be content eating my flowers, trees and small dogs in the neighborhood.

6. This time of year
the squirrels are really fat......bushy tailed and busy burying and re-burying acorns and nuts and anything else they can find. My wife planted 50 oaks and maples and in just two days, one squirrel we call Mr Brown (because he has a brown chest) got every last one of them....he's a big guy and I won't argue with him.

11. I came outside the other morning to go to work
and a big old Fox just strolled down the sidewalk like it owned the damn thing.

My guess is it has been feeding on those fat squirells.

and this is in a Milwaukee Suburb...
