We just had the strangest push poll call this morning. They wanted the male registered voter
in the house, but I listened in on the extension. It was less of a poll and more like a political ad. One went something like, "have you heard of the gang of 14, the group of 14 senators who abandoned they duties and fled the state to IL for 3 weeks, blah, blah, blah" Yes or no. Followed by, "Do you strongly disagree, disagree or agree or strongly disagree with their actions". A couple of times hubby would say that's not really a question, or that's a leading question and she'd give this condensending "Ah, yes I understand...". The statement disguised as a question that finally drove him to cut her off started out with "President Obama (and some labor group) co-ordinated efforts in the state of WI" Hubby said, wait a minute, what polling group are you with again? She claimed to not know who was paying for the survey. He told her that the last statement/question wasn't true and she shot back "Oh yes it is". That's when he informed her she was not conducting a poll, but rather was simply propagating a political ad and needed to devulge her sponsors. She hung up. Damn, wish I could have recorded that.

1. "gang of 14"?
I would have stopped right there.

2. Ya, I know but we wanted to hear what they were up to. We've never
been polled before and now twice in one week. The first was Rassmussen(sp?). We live in a very conservative district of "Walkersha" county so we figured they were looking to drum up supportive poll numbers.
