How many DUers at the State Convention

Is there a possibility of a DU only gathering in Appleton?

I think there will be quite a few of us. Perhaps we should arrange to hang out.

some DUers on Saturday and I'm really looking forward to meeting others..... a hangout would be great!

I won't be back in the state until the 15th.

6. June 11-12, Paper Valley Hotel, Appleton

Considering the pukes are targeting WI, thinking we are a swing state, I imagine Kerry will be there but there has been no confirmation. You can get the details at http://www.wisdems.org and click on events.

If you aren't a delegate or alternate, you can still go as a guest, but you don't always get the best seats and may have to watch most of the activities taking place on the floor from a monitor in another room. But, you still get to check out the booths of progressive organizations as well as the opportunity to go to the hospitality suites of the candidates and elected officials and have a chance to speak with them. Last year there were rallies before and after the convention as well. There's lots to do and see whether you are a delegate or a guest.

Conventions are very energizing and I expect that this year's will be one of the best.

7. I'm slated as a delegate...

But I don't know. I don't have much dough, and Appleton is quite a drive for me in Coleman, and I can't afford a room. I'd love to go, but unless there's something like a youth hostel down there or some DUer who'd be willing to put up with me, I may not be able to go.

Then again, I may have toruble getting in because the state's member list is all charlie foxtrotted.

9. I live close enough to Appleton

I didn't even know until now that the convention was in Appleton. If there is a gathering, I'll try to get there.

10. I'm a delegate and I'll be there

Dottie LeClair the Outagamie County Party Chair is a good friend of mine and I will be helping her set things up prior to the event as well. :)

It should kick ass.

11. boo hoo, I don't get to go this year

We made arrangements late last year to go to Vegas. My cousin, a republican, wanted to go over the weekend so she could use her frequent flyer miles. We agreed, but found out it cost us more to accomadate her. Now I found out we are going to miss Greg Huber's Investiture for his judgeship. I'm not too happy, but I do LOVE Vegas so I'll manage.
I'll be there next year with bells on
