I'm currently in Wisconsin for business.
I went to the Rally this morning/afternoon in Madison. There are two things I will defend as truths to my grave:
(1) Wisconsin is a REALLY awesome state. Very friendly people, kind accepting atmosphere, and very active student body. It'd trully be an awesome place to live; maybe someday I'll make the move. You ALL should be proud to live here.
(2) The rally kicked ass. I somewhat expected Kerry to deliver a "bang" (like Bush's appeal to undecided democrats, which was actually a pretty sly move), and he didn't - but his message was coherent, motivational, and well delivered. HUGE crowd. There were probably 80,000+ people jammed between Kerry's stage and the Wisconsin state capitol.
I live in Georgia. But it felt SO good to be surrounded by such SANE and EDUCATED and ACTIVE citizens. Your state (much like Oregon), is a model for so many others.

PS - I'll NEVER make the mistake of asking what the difference between a Badger and a Beaver is. Sheesh... y'all take that stuff seriously.
