What gives? Waukesha has already reported over $57 million in damage.

Are those both Republican Counties? I know Waukesha County is. How long afterwards did it take to be declared a Disaster Area?

6. A) The OP is more than 2 weeks old and both counties are covered now
B) Not everyone who has been affected in these counties is Republican

7. Well
a) I noticed that and edited my post to ask another question

and b) Of course not all the people in that county are Republican BUT they have Republican representatives so it would be interesting to see how long it took for them to be declared by Bush and if that somehow spins any resentment towards Sensenbrenner (although I highly doubt it).

Lest we forget this is a political message board so curiously asking a question about political implications is not out of line.

8. Waukesha was June 19 and Jefferson was the 14th later in the day after the OP was posted
If Sensenbrenner runs again here (and I doubt he will), he will likely be re-elected. The name-recognition that goes along with the incumbency will get him all he needs. He was re-elected in 2006.

Sorry - I live in Waukesha County. There are a good number of Democrats here. In addition, there are a lot of people I know who were hit real hard by these storms and flooding.

And, in all honesty, I could give a shit who they've voted for, they need help. It just felt like a bit of a thumbing of the nose at them.
