Another Super Delegate Endorsement ....
Edited on Thu Mar-13-08 05:12 PM by MadAsHell
Fellow Democrats:

I wanted my Democratic friends and colleagues to know my decision before the press was notified.

I had intended to hold my endorsement until a nominee was named. However, I can't in good conscience do that any longer. At the end of the day, I must consider two issues; what, I feel, is in the best interest of the Party as a whole and the wishes of my fellow Wisconsinites. After much consideration, I have decided to endorse Senator Barack Obama.

The Democratic Party has 2 wonderful candidates, both qualified to hold the Office of President. I was fortunate to have been able speak with Senator Clinton and Senator Obama about what they have to offer the Party. Both have a vision for the future of this nation along with solid records in health care, education and the economy. So, my decision came down to electability and who I felt would do a better job of unifying this country for a common purpose.

Obama's message of "Hope and Change" has touched millions of voters in a way that I haven't seen since the late 1960's. People from every walk of life, young and the not so young, Democrats, Independents and some Republicans, are all rallying around a belief that change can happen if we want it bad enough. I am confident that this November we will increase our majority in the House and Senate and elect a Democrat to the White House.

Be Safe and Think Spring!

DNC Member WI

2. Melissa is running for DNC member again at the convention in June
and so is Paula Zellner, Senator Feingold's State Field Director. The only one I know is Paula.

Paula is absolutely wonderful, and she recommends voting for Melissa Schroeder- so those are my two votes.

3. I've worked with them both
and I heartily support both. They are great activists who believe in the power of grassroots and the 50 state strategy.

4. A party officer recently said to me
that Melissa and Jason Rae have been outstanding in communicating with rank-and-file party members and thus heartily recommended them for the new term they are seeking. If undeterred likes Paula, that's a valuable opinion. The fourth DNC member is not running again, so there will be Paula, Melissa, and Jason along with whoever else decides to run. How many people can we vote for in the election? I should think it would be four.

5. Paula hasn't declared yet and she'll have to commit to get my vote.
I like her and she certainly will get my vote if she declares for Obama.
