But if you live in the Marshfield area you have to be a gun show attendee to get access.

1. You could stand outside and shout your question at him
Funny thing is, there isn't one square foot of Marshfield that's in his district. Only the non-city portions of Lincoln, McMillan and Spencer townships are part of his district.

Curious how he can get away with calling that a work-related expense, as no doubt we are paying for this visit outside his district.

3. Most gun shows have a fee.
As always with Zien you have to pay for access.

4. Yes, I know
$3.00 per person per day.

I'm going to look for a sword for my son's collection for a Christmas Present. They had a pretty good selection last time I was there...I'm looking for a Calvary Sabre and sheath.

Maybe even a single shot 20 ga. shotgun for myself....if things get really bad, I may have to hunt food with it.

6. I'll take any tips on how not to proceed with bathroom remodeling
My second floor tub/shower is leaking through my first floor ceiling at the moment. We put in ceiling tile about 6 years ago so it would be easy to fix should it happen again. Now three times in the past year we've had to tear down the ceiling (if it didn't fall down first), find a leak and replace the ceiling. We're running out of replacement tiles and patience.

I'm not in the mood for a remodel, but I've about had it.

7. The joys of remodeling
an old house....you never know WHAT you're going to find...

started off replacing the 40+ year old toilet...surprise #1 the old stand pipe is 3/8" above the floor line...so the NEW toilet rocks back and forth and ruins the wax seal...so there's a leak...which ruins the carpet...so replace the carpet...BUT the leak has rotted the underlayment UNDER the toilet so the floor has to be replaced...

so..take off the old base board (vinyl) to get the carpeting up. Surprise! The tiles come off the wall with the base board. The tiles are the old plastic variety (very common in the 60's) and they don't make them anymore...worse yet, all the adhesives from Menard's and Fleet can't be used on plastic...so you have to use contact cement and do each one individually...

replace the counter tops and sinks...SURPRISE...the plumbing from the sink drains to the standpipe is "NONSTANDARD" ...different diameters and wierd, wierd couplings the likes of which the plumbers have never seen.. (he called in another plumber, an old-timer to look at it) their evaluation? Tear it out and replace it
with "standard" plumbing.

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Do you know how much easier it would be to rent an apartment and just call the manager?

8. I don't know about renting
I've lived in places where it wasn't that easy to get the manager to do anything. You'd still be living with ancient plumbing and 40 year old fixtures.
