in September of 2003 and the higher the price of gas the better I feel about that particular purchase.
There are plenty of Metros, Saturns, and other non hybrid small cars that get good mileage although the emissions are not as low. They are working on it though. I think there are now some non hybrid gas models that meet ultra low emissions vehicle standards (ULEV) and are pushing the mid 40s for MPG.
My last tank came out to about 48.9 MPG.
I suspect that some drivers will always drive the Valdez class tankers even if they can't justify it on a need basis. Now they can show off more by showing they can afford gas for it.
8. Noticed the big jump last night when we filled up - Holy S#@t is right
Around here it was at least 15 cent jump since my last tankful.
Strangely enough, we're cheaper than you are ($2.529 at an out-of-the-way rural gas station even) And that is very strange. Usually central Wisconsin is one of the most expensive areas in the state. We have always waited as long as we could before filling up on trips out of town. The further away, the cheaper the gas. Not true this year.
I don't have a vehicle that gets 15 more like 24,but man I hate when it costs more than 30.00 to fill the tank.I don't think I could afford $5.00 gas.Know any good two seaters?
12. Yeah, I almost crashed my car when I saw the price
Just imagine how much its going to drive up the price of everything else. If this doesn't turn the masses against that oil company loving administration, I don't know what will.
