Just a reminder to DU'ers near Huntington to call, email and write WVHU to complain about the idiot, homophobic Tom Roten who rants every morning.

He is an embarrassment to Huntington.

Tom Roten is an idiot. Calling the Program Director at Clear Channel, though, will only enforce the notion that Roten is being listened to...to affect the show, they have to be hit where it really hurts them, in advertising.

I don't begrudge people their beliefs, even an idiot like Roten. He is entitled to his own, regardless of how petty and narrow I find them to be. My worry about this guy, though, is how his ego has grown over the past couple of years. There is little in life more intoxicating than the belief that one speaks on behalf of God, and Roten certainly believes he does. That, to me, is very scary.

Also, let WRVC know you appreciate them airing Thom Hartmann and Ed Schultz.

I think Roten listens and studies Rush's methods. He tries to hit the same thems and use the same strawman argument techniques. He is a poor copy who cannot even speak with correct grammar.

i've had many a delightful conversation on the phone with him. i'm told my number's saved and on the 'do not alow on the air under any circumstances" list

i also find it interesting that someone as macho and homophobic as roten would have a sniveling co-host who speaks with a major lisp. i'm not implying anything, but i'm kind of shocked that someone as ignorant and shallow as roten didn't freak out when a stereotype of his worst fundamentalist fears took the job
