1. Thanks for your service.
Appreciate the scoop too! I've not seen a single WV poll regarding the Democratic presidential nomination.

4. Cool.
That's where I'm from. Who do you see MC going for in the primaries? The only reports I get are from my father (my mother tends to not discuss anything of much substance when we talk), who is on the conservative side of life. Either that, or he says things like "we should have nuked Iraq" just to irritate me.

Lived in Monongah til grade school and then moved to East Fairmont, back now at this end of the county

I have been furiously phone banking and canvassing.

So obviously Hillary here.

There are a lot of Obama supporters, but they hardly say it outloud, if you know what I mean. ;)

6. I'm a Monongahloid myself
Spent all of my childhood there until college.

Thank you for the front-line report.

7. MountainLaurel...
I met my husband while he was in Monongah working on a big powerline job, he called the locals "Monongahloids"
I never heard that before, I thought he coined it...lol.

do you know folks on "Stoney Lonesome"?

8. I first heard my father use it
Referring to some of our, ahem, less evolved neighbors.

Stoney Lonesome is over behind the elementary school, isn't it? I'm sure if you threw out names I would remember them, but no one specifically is coming to mind except for Mr. Ross, who used to teach at North Marion. I lived on Traction Avenue (not in the Park, though), and over on the east side of the river near the Baptist church. My parents are still there.
