Ms. Capito's dumping her Delay and Abramoff money!
Per the Charleston Daily Mail (http://www.dailymail.com/news/News/2006033139/), she's donating the money to the Sago Mine Relief Fund. Of course, she still says that she has done nothing wrong!

From the story:

"I have always run clean campaigns about issues that West Virginians care about, and I want this election to be no different," Capito said early today. "While these funds were received in a completely legal and fair way, it has become clear they will become a distraction in my attempt to run a positive, issues-based campaign.

"I have no desire to have out-of-state, third-party political groups interfere with my campaign, nor do I wish to subject the voters of West Virginia to the unpleasant campaign that would create."

Capito believes she could be an easy target for opponents because of the money associated with DeLay and Abramoff.

1. What about the money she had Rove raise for her
last month in Charleston?

You can tell a good deal about a person by the company they keep. In Shelley Man Capito's case, it's DeLay, Abramoff, Rove and Daddy. The Dems should not let her off the hook for this little P.R. stunt.

2. She said she is 'planning' on giving
the key word in the article is *will* - she *will* give the money over. She should of given the check over today personally.

Not handing over cash implies she has no real bankroll she can touch quickly.

Or she's hedging, never intending to complete the task.
