1. PG article - He's visiting Wed the 22nd
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06079/673562.stm

President Bush will visit Wheeling, W.Va., Wednesday in one of a series of speeches designed to shore up support for the administration's position on the war on terror.

The president is scheduled to deliver a lunchtime address at the Capitol Music Center. The event is not open to the general public. Mr. Bush was in Ohio today, speaking on the same subject at the City Club of Cleveland.

Noting the third anniversary of the war in Iraq, White House press secretary Scott McClellan said Bush would update Americans on his vision for Iraq -- highlighting the progress being made while acknowledging that not everything has gone perfectly and that adjustments have been made.

"This remains a difficult and tense period in Iraq," Mr. McClellan said today. "Oftentimes the progress that is being made doesn't get as much attention as the dramatic and horrific images of violence that people see on their TV screens. And the president believes it's important to continue to put things in the broader context."

Demand for Bush Tickets ‘Huge’

By JOSELYN KING

Wheeling police Officer Kevin Hess watches the distribution of tickets at the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce office Monday. While nearly 2,000 tickets for President Bush’s Wednesday visit were handed out there, another 100 tickets will be distributed today through the Ogden Newspapers.
Ohio Valley residents who would like to be part of President George W. Bush’s visit to Wheeling on Wednesday still have a chance to get tickets through the cooperative efforts of the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ogden Newspapers Inc.

Chamber President Terry Sterling said Monday that 100 tickets are being made available to the general public at 10 a.m. today at the offices of the Ogden Newspapers, 1500 Main St., Wheeling. Tickets will be handed out on a first come, first served basis, with a maximum of two tickets per person. The tickets will be available at the receptionist’s desk, which is to the left upon entering the building.

Previously, only members of the chamber, their employees, families and guests could receive tickets.

Sterling said more than 2,000 tickets were handed out Monday to chamber members, with another 1,000 non-chamber members on a waiting list. It was this demand by the general public that led to the extra tickets being made available, he said...

4. Demand for tickets "huge", they gave out 2000 tickets and
another 1000 people wanted tickets, I wouldn't call 3000 people willing to come see a President as "huge". When Kerry came to town he filled the Heritage Port and I was unable to get a ticket, I was sure we would win the election, then it was like all the steam ran out of his Campaign and they just wrote off WV.
