7th District DU-ers.
I honestly want your opinions.

What happened with the 2008 election and 2010 re-election of Eric Cantor in your district?

I can't believe the voting majority is Tea Party nihilistic anti-democratic rightwingers. I could understand run-of-the-mill conservatives b/c I lived in Amherst County and know Albemarle and Bedford Counties.

Did you know Eric Cantor was going to change national policy when he was elected? Or was it bait-and-switch, you had no clue he'd be grabbing for power so baldly, controlling the debt ceiling "negotiations".

Pleaes tell me.

The vote was split. Cantor with 52% and the tea party guy with 38%.

That was the biggest challenger to Cantor as far back as he's been in office. Most Democrats stayed home.

Independents went tea party or stayed home too.

Next go round Cantor would be out as the TP's are better organized. Which is why he's sucking up to them.

I don't think there is a redder district than this in Va. The 7th is the only one that did not go Obama in 08.

I don't think anyone thinks he's changed his tune. He's just got a lot more air time.

No taxes. No taxes. No taxes. Is the mantra. The district is loaded with corporate money.

There's "the fashionable West End" old money. "By invitation only, south of the river" new money.

None of it wants to be taxed.
