OK time to start taking some risks and taking to the streets, people.
I'm sick of namby-pambying around. Let's get local and get moving. Who is in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area? Check in here. Let's do it.

I am NOT waiting. I am not going to sit around until some "official" protest happens. We have GOT to find a way to shake things up.

If they start small, so be it. So did the protests over Vietnam. We need the university segment and we need to JUST START DOING IT.

When people see what we are doing, like-minded ones will join us.

Start shaking up the media. Start thinking Abbie Hoffman.

Let's see, we've got UNT, TCU, SMU, what others? I am going to get in contact with student organizations on those campuses and see if they want to join us.

This war has to be stopped. I don't remember where I read it, but the consensus is that bush will be able to easily attack Iran, since we've been so quiet (as of late) about Iraq.

Well, BULLSHIT. Not in my name. NOT IN MY NAME.

Where and when, DFW DUers? Where and when?

So. Who's up for a little trip to McKinney?

About your edit: matters NOT. Either issue is valid. We need to get used to getting in the streets and making NOISE.

4. Thanks!
I'm no professional protestor or anything, but we've got to do SOMETHING.

6. I will.
Hey Dec. 4 is just a week from today.

I'm thinking doing some stuff near Christmas will get some attention. No one expects protests near Christmas.

And what I am talking about (for everyone and anyone reading) are peaceful protests. I will not organize or take part in violence.

7. Now you're taking all the fun out of it.
Amazing we have to stage non violent protests to stop the violence in Iraq.

Hell, 12 Million people protested peacefully against the Iraq war before it started. Look what that got us.

8. I know.

But I would prefer to go the nonviolent route. We HAVE to have the numbers, but we have to start local (by WE I mean all DUers, people against the war and voting fraud, etc.).

What better day to express our dissatisfaction with the election, Iraq, the economy, and a boatload of other things we've been talking about?

13. Friday, December 10
Sounds good to me. Just enough time to plan some things and a highly appropriate day on which to protest. Thanks!

Think I'll google that, too. See if anything is planned elsewhere.
