Town Hall on Voter ID with Rep. Al Green Nov 19
Representative Al Green is having a town hall on the Texas Voter ID law on November 19, 2011 at 9:00 AM at The Power Center, located at 12401 South Post Oak Road, Houston, TX. 77045.

I will be there. Hope that other DUers can make it.

1. Green's your rep?
Shit, we're neighbors. And the PC is literally 5 minutes from my house.

I can't make this, though. I have plans in Beaumont by 11 a.m., and leaving about 9 to get there.

2. No, Al Green has sort of adopted the Fort Bend County Democrats
I now live out in Fort Bend County and head up the voter protection efforts for the Fort Bend Democratic Party. Al Green speaks to our groups on a regular basis and has sort of adopted the Democrats who are unfortunate enough to live in the 22nd district and who are stuck with Pete Olson. Rep. Green is a true gentleman and has been very nice to the people who are now not being represented by Pete Olson

I have met with Rep. Green and have been advising him about the Texas voter ID law. I have been briefing both the Fort Bend Democratic party and the Fort Bend Silver Democrats on this issue.
