He died Thursday of a massive heart attack. If you don't know who I'm talking about, then you missed a real character.

He was always at the Capitol when the Lege was in session. I observed members literally quaking in his presence once. Always saw him at convention too. Texas Trib's live blog of what's going on in Corpus is where I found out. Scroll down to the 4:56 pm yesterday entry.

1. I saw that and it's heartbreaking
He was a very successful citizen lobbyist at the capital. May he rest in peace and ride free on the big open road in the sky.

My condolences to his family.
