Dallas man posted death threat against Obama

DALLAS — A Dallas man who posted a death threat against President Barack Obama online is set to be arraigned in federal court Friday.

Brian Dean Miller was apparently upset over the new health care law.

A criminal complaint says the 43-year-old man admitted to a Secret Service agent that he threatened to kill the president in a post on Craigslist March 21.

Calling for a revolution, the post in part reads: "I am dedicating my life to the death of Obama and every employee of the federal government."
(snip)

If convicted, Miller faces a maximum five years in prison and $250,000 fine.

Good for the Feds - throw the book at the idiot! Words do have consequences. And good going for the people who reported this! Keep it up wingers and you will soon be filling up our prisons!

Arraignment ahead for Dallas man accused of Craigslist death threat against Obama

(snip)Brian Dean Miller admitted to Secret Service agent that he posted a death threat against the president on Craigslist's Dallas website March 21, according to a criminal complaint.

"People, the time has come for revolution," the post read. "It is time for Obama to die. I am dedicating my life to the death of Obama and every employee of the federal government. As I promised in a previous post, if the health care reform bill passed I would become a terrorist. Today I become a terrorist."

That night, Congress passed a health care overhaul, which ignited the ire of conservatives across the country and triggered numerous death threats to political leaders.

A concerned citizen from Arlington alerted Secret Service agents in Dallas to the post that same day. Agents subpoenaed Craigslist and AT&T and tracked the posting to an e-mail address used by someone at a house on Town Hill Lane near Lovers Lane and Skillman Street.

On March 24, two agents went to the house and spoke to Miller's mother. She said that her son was asleep in his room, but that she recalled he was using the computer in the kitchen on the night the agents said the threat was posted.

The lunatic was crazy enough to post a second threat against the secret service agents a few days after he threatened Obama. He was obviously asking for it. Well he got his wish.

4. Not all people from Dallas
There are nut bags in every city and state. This one just happens to live in Dallas.

The nut bag who flew his plane into a building in Austin didn't make the rest of us in Austin look bad.

The right wing media and teabaggers are inciting people to violence.

By the way welcome to the Texas DU forum, blizzil31337! :hi:

3. I wonder what his freeper handle is. 43 and living with mom.
If we had basements in Dallas, I'd think he'd be living in it instead of having to use the computer in the kitchen.

Loser.

5. I'm grateful that the man in Arlington who saw his post reported him
The political forum section of Craigslist is pretty "wingy". I've read it a few times and can't stomach it. So I'm with you on this - he's a freeper.

Thankfully there are some sane people who read these crazy forums and a man from the Arlington area reported this loser to the Feds.

:applause: to the nameless citizen who did the right thing in Arlington!
