Lone Star Hate-Mongering: Rick Perry, Glenn Beck, and Leo Berman Rally In Tyler
by: Katherine Haenschen
Mon Apr 26, 2010 at 03:05 PM CDT

This past weekend, Rick Perry and Glenn Beck headlined an event in Tyler, Texas, where they riled up the Republican base with intolerance, violent rhetoric, and even a little mild sedition.
Before the rally, Perry spoke with press about his opposition to President Obama. From ThinkProgress:

"Americans can take their country back and send a message to this administration, to this Congress and I consider myself proud to be in that army," Perry said.

1. Hate-Mongering is going easy on them
Three racists go into a bar in Tyler, TX...

No really it's not a joke - these three racists are Perry, Beck and Berman. Berman hates Mexicans and he's a reall Nazi about it too.

Aide: Texas rep. plans immigration bill similar to Arizona law

AUSTIN – State Rep. Leo Berman, R-Tyler, will introduce immigration legislation comparable to a law recently enacted in Arizona, according to an aide.

Rep. Berman, who is traveling in Europe, authorized the aide to respond to KVUE News’ request for information regarding his plans for the 82nd Legislative Session which begins in January 2011.

According to the aide, Berman said his bill will be similar to the Arizona law, specifically the provision which requires local law enforcement agencies in the state to check the immigration status of individuals who they suspect of being in the United States illegally.

While the bill is expected to look a lot like the Arizona law, at least one group of Texas lawmakers notes that the Texas Legislature is very different that the Arizona Legislature.

Seems to me that Berman must be thinking Arizona is more to his liking everyday. Maybe the ass-hat can move out of Texas - he can go back to his country of origin!

3. I suspected that this would come to Texas.
I thought that Texan repubs would get mighty jealous and try that crap here. It really seems like the repubs are purposely trying to totally destroy their own party and I wish them all the best at doing just that.

5. I figured they would too
But of course they can't wait till the next session starts in January, 2011. Leo's got that racist itch now and he's got to scratch it. Plus he gets the joy of fanning the hatred an extra 7 months.

Texas lawmakers closely watching Arizona
AUSTIN — Texas lawmakers are closely watching Arizona's get-tough immigration law, with some Republicans saying they will push for similar action here while Democrats say the legislation is wrongheaded and the GOP would suffer politically for the attempt.

"The first priority for any elected official is to make sure that the safety and security of Texans is well-established," said Rep. Debbie Riddle, R-Tomball. "If our federal government did their job, then Arizona wouldn't have to take this action, and neither would Texas."

Riddle introduced a similar measure last legislative session — it stalled in committee — and said she will do the same when the Legislature meets in regular session in January.

Pit of hell speech

In a March 6, 2003 interview with the El Paso Times, Riddle was quoted as saying:

"Where did this idea come from that everybody deserves free education, free medical care, free whatever? It comes from Moscow, from Russia. It comes straight out of the pit of hell. And it's cleverly disguised as having a tender heart. It's not a tender heart. It's ripping the heart out of this country."

Oh she tries to backtrack about the quote to tone down her insanity. But no one believes her.
