Henry Cuellar vote fraud: Word on the street/speculation has it that
Edited on Tue Apr-27-04 03:24 PM by Gman
after the March Texas primary, once it was known how many votes behind Henry Cuellar was, both election day ballots and absentee ballots were immediately taken across the river to Mexico from Zapata and Webb county and marked for Cuellar. The ballots were taken across the river because it was felt that was the safest place to do the ballot fraud. If so, I don't know how Ciro will be able to prove anything if the physical evidence is in Mexico. And, how do you prosecute someone for ballot fraud when the actual fraud occurred in a foreign country.

On another front, a couple of weekends ago a bus load of people traveled from San Antonio to Laredo to check out the addresses of all ballots cast in the primary. They were looking primarily for a house sitting at the address listed for the voter and that the house was occupied by a living voter rather than a vacant house with weeds in the yard.

All ballots, legal or not, are being kept at the IBC bank, owned by Tony Sanchez. If that doesn't make you go "hmmm...", I don't know what does.

I also just heard staunch Republican TJ Connally on local radio saying something about what "friends and supporters of Mr. Cuellar may have done", obviously distancing Cuellar from the fraud. The way Connally phrased it I almost think its as if something may about to go down.

1. the ballots
there was another election that was being contested...constable precinct 1, and all of the votes in that race were placed in the bank vault because the loser filed suit. however, i do find it suspicious that all the votes were counted (i've heard) up to 5 times before the "ta da!" votes showed up.

now ordinarily, i'm not one to wear a :tinfoilhat:, but isn't it interesting that all these votes showed up and they ALL voted for Cuellar? i'd be interested in seeing if (a) they all voted in alphabetical order ala box 13, duval county and (b) they all voted for the same candidates in all the races.

2.  I heard on the radio this evening that
they found 4 people registered and who allegedly had voted at an address that was actually for a water tower. That was among "hundreds" with incorrect addresses and names.

I had another conversation this afternoon with someone that caught the same thing that I caught when TJ Connally was on the radio. That being that Connally was very obviously distancing Cuellar from the voter fraud.

7. dunno
i don't run with the big dogs here....i'm lucky to be down here with the chihuahuas, if you know what i mean. ;)

i do know merc is running for another spot (saw a campaign sign, but can't remember what it's for, maybe a spot on the LCC board). i sure hope he or his son runs against our current county judge who is a :+.

if i have the time, i'll collect some of his more infamous "bruni-isms," but for now be content with this one (actually said on the record at a county commissioners' meeting:

"As our Founding Fathers said, democracy is too precious to be left in the hands of the people."

guess which business he's in??? i betcha bottom dollar he's buddies w/shrub.

8. Merc is definitely buddies with Phil Gramm
I've no reason to think he's not buds with Bush. Merc is buds with whoever puts out the most money.

As for his son, I actually like him. But, like the rest of 'em, I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. When I had dealings with him in the mid-90's he seemed like a sharp kid. You could tell he was being groomed.

9. wasn't saying merc was a friend of bush
but the current county judge, louis bruni a/k/a :+

bruni is the one who made that line about democracy, not merc.

interesting you should bring up merc's son...he was the real estate agent i contacted when i was in the market to get a condo...didn't like the condo much, so he showed me a house, which i ended up buying.

3. Good article in Austin paper today
Rodriguez targets Laredo area in vote fraud lawsuit
Lawmaker says at least 100 ineligible voters cast ballots in primary
http://www.statesman.com/metrostate/content/auto/epaper/editions/wednesday/metro_state_04f875bdd09a508b0049.html
(snip)
Rodriguez claimed that some people were registered to vote at addresses in the 28th Congressional District where they did not reside, and others listed their address as abandoned houses or vacant lots or at nonexistent addresses.
(/snip)
(snip)
Austin lawyer Buck Wood, representing Rodriguez, said his investigation has turned up more than 100 improper voters just in Webb County, though he didn't feel comfortable specifying an exact number.
(/snip)

Then the most disturbing thing in the article is that Cuellar is running ads in Laredo papers telling people not to talk to investigators. What does Cuellar have to hide? I think Rodriguez should run ads with rewards for information on voter fraud.

(snip)
Wood also lambasted Cuellar for running half-page ads in Laredo newspapers last weekend advising people that they do not have to talk to Rodriguez's investigators.
(/snip)

4. These people have no shame
none whatsoever. Notice how staunch GOP'er TJ Connally attacks like a rabid GOP'er. HA! In fact, TJ Connally is probably one of the top 5 biggest WIMPS I've ever met in my life. Connally would run as fast as he could if you ran up behind him and said BOOOO!

5. another thing that ticked me off
was cuellar & his camp coming out & calling rodriguez a  over the results of the re-count, as if he was insane for thinking SOMETHING might be wrong with such disparate results.

the sa paper even printed a chart showing the differences in voting by county....most counties were w/in the number you would think, +1 -1, etc, which made the results from zapata & webb stand out just that even more. coincidence?

another thing that hacked me off about cuellar was that his people came by my house EVERY SINGLE DAY leaving junk on my doorstep, and then had the audacity to ask if i "minded" telling them who i voted for when i told them i participated in early voting. i told them "yes, because we still vote by secret ballot in this country." :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:
