We stayed at the Radisson, too, and had to evacuate from the restaurant Friday night around midnight. The waiter came out later and told us it was just smoke in the kitchen that set off the alarm, but now I wonder if that's what he was told to say, or if there was another reason the alarm went off.
We missed the alarm Friday morning. What time did that happen? We had a caucus we needed to attend at 9:00am, so we left the hotel right after 7:00am to get an early spot in line for credentials. I still didn't get mine til 9:20am. My husband was on a 9:00am caucus panel, so he had to go back later for his.
I wonder if there were similar events at any of the other hotels. In all my years, I have never been in a hotel or restaurant or convention center and had an alarm and evacuation. To have this happen 3 times, and at a Democratic Convention is very suspicious. Not to mention the Mansion having an arson fire just a couple hours after our convention adjourned.
Here's my post from earlier, in the topic of the mansion fire.
