Is the 20+ point spread for real ?
Ok Texas DU'ers... Just wanted to collect some predictions about the point spread.
While I still believe monkey boy will carry this state, I am hopefully that the margin will be significantly smaller than 20+ points.

Here in Austin everything is looking Blue but that is certainly not scientific.. Its just my impression from talking to folks and counting bumper stickers.

Any comments or predictions ?

1. That's what it was 4 years ago...59-38
It remains to be seen whether intense voter registration efforts and a vigorous GOTV effort can make the pollsters look like fools.

I think it will be much closer than twenty points.

2. I doubt it.
It seems the moron has been an embarrassment to urban Texans particularly. Texas is still a very rural state, so he probably will carry it, but his percentage won't be what it was in 2000.

6. He'll take Dallas and Austin too.
It's the suburbs and the boonies that sink us here.

Note: There are more registered Democrats in Dallas County than Republicans! It was getting everyone out to vote that was hard.

crispini has been instrumental in this!

7. We are absolutely going to wash him in blue in Travis Co. (Austin)
Trust me, the margin in Travis alone will make bu$hie wet his pants.

8. About 1/3 of Texas voters
are independent and they are very pissed at the Republicans because of redistricting

9. we're doing what we can
here along the border. we've got a GOTV program that's set a goal of 50K registered voters showing up to the polls, out of 97K that are registered. :)

i just found out we have election day off (thanks to my union!!!!) so i'm going to volunteer to work the polls, drive folks to & from, etc.

i'm gonna be one tired (but hopefully happy) dem on nov. 2. :)
