OK, DU caucus is all well and good, but when and where is DRUNK caucus?

Since I'm not able to go to the convention, I still have to represent at Drunk Caucus.

Give us the details of the caucus meeting. Derby has been inquiring about events where DUers might gather. PDittle and johncoby2 have suggested that the best place to get together would be the Blogger's Caucus on Thursday which coincidentally does serve alcohol.

3. Actually I didn't attend the caucus in Ft Worth

You guys had it the night I left town. Although I did go to the Flying Saucer blogger's caucus that year.

Maybe you drunk members should try to recall what happened that year in 2006. I keep hearing things like "What happens in the drunk caucus - stays in the drunk caucus" So who knows? :shrug:

In fact the only "grocery store" downtown would be Whole Foods @ 6th and Lamar.

By the way a good friend of ours found an excellent map of the downtown area that includes hotels, restaurants and the Dillo trolley routes. You should absolutely download this map and bring it with you. You need to print it in color so you can see the Dillo routes.

He doesn't like DU very much right now. I hope this week the war will be over and maybe old friends can pop back in once in a while.

Last time I saw him was at the Travis County Convention on March 29th. And I was totally fried that day.

We were outside on a patio. There were many hilarious imitations of Boyd Richie and Bob Slagle.

I know for a long time after the convention, I kept getting e-mail inviting me to their meetups in Dallas. Maybe that's where I was and I got on their e-mail list.

Does anyone know if that group is still around?

I realize it's a different group, I was just trying to remember who. I remembered it was basement level, dark and smokey. As I'm packing to leave in the morning, I pulled out the folder from 2006 and there was the info, it was Drinking Liberally and it was on Thursday night at a Paddy Red's. Was anyone else there?

13. CapMetro shuttle route #420

Hey don't ask me about the coincidental numbering of the bus as #420. But the main bus route that runs around the convention area and will be running at least until 7 p.m. is the 420 Shuttle route. Goes all the way up to 11th street by the capitol bldg and comes back round Cesar Charvez (aka 1st St) and Trinity. Very close to the Convention center.

For those people who might be interested in going to the Obama Turn Texas Blue party which is located on 9th and Red River at the Club de Ville, your best bet would be to catch the #5 Woodrow/Riverside CapMetro bus at 3rd and Congress and take that up to 11th Street. Bus runs about every 15 minutes. And this bus runs late into the night. At least until 11:30 p.m.

I didn't go either, even though with the job loss I could have attempted it. I am still not totally recovered from the nasty cold I had starting Memorial Day

I get very tired very quickly ..but I have to get well by June 18 when I leave to visit my sister
