1. Okay, I'm a little miffed now...
Total number of votes cast in Dallas County for Democratic candidates for US House of Representatives, 32nd District: 2,727

Total number of votes cast in Dallas County for Democratic candidates for County Tax Assessor-Collector: 11,125

What gives? Not to knock the position of Tax Collector or anything, but if we see more attention paid to the Tax Collector race than the TX-32 race when November rolls around, I'm not going to be very happy.

2. Um, the 32nd does not cover all of Dallas county?
and the Tax Assessor does.

3. I considered that, but still...
...I would think that some of the excitement over the Obama/Clinton race would translate into some real numbers for Democratic runoffs involving candidates for something other than the White House.

I'll check my own precinct's numbers and see if we at least contributed a decent turnout.
