The TDP and Boyd Richie. Why are you belly aching?
There sure is alot of belly aching about the TDP and Boyd Richie.

For us down in HD129, we appreciate the training the TDP has provided us on delegate selection, which NO ONE has told us about. We had to learn it ourselves. And the training on VAN, as well as VAN itself.

We have used VAN extensively. It is absolutely 100% better than what we had in 2004, which was NOTHING. and it must have cost a pretty penny too. Money well spent.

They conducted townhall meetings across the state giving us an opportunity for 1 on 1 discussion.

They conducted training for candidates. A very detailed event. This was never done in the past and should have.

For us on the ground, the party has helped us a bunch. Could it be better? Sure, but for what we are doing now, and what our goals are, they are doing just fine.

I voted for Glen Maxey at the convention, but Boyd has done a pretty good job so far and I appreciate what he has done.

Maybe those who are belly aching should come block walk with us. does wonders for your digestive tract.

2. Settle down Perry.
Geez. You sound like the party is going to hell.

It isn't that bad. It has improved quite a bit since 2004.

Go do what you got to do, but geez, settle down.

5. Well John,
ya gotta consider the tone you took with your post. If you didn't want anyone giving you attitude back, you should have been a bit less snarky to begin with. You were asking for a sharp retort with the wording you chose to use. but then, it seems that you prefer to rile people up. Maybe it gives you a rush.

I'm glad you're happy with the state party. Those of us who are not are completely entitled to our opinions, and you should not equate that with unwillingness to work. I would much rather support my candidates and/or causes directly because I think the state party (under Boyd's "direction") does not make choices I agree with. There are plenty of ways to contribute, with or without the good ol' boy network. I prefer without.

6. My point is still valid
The TDP has done a pretty damn good job for those in the field working for their candidates. I don't think anyone working in the field can complain about that.

And to criticize myself, I shouldn't care about what everyone is complaining about, because I got too damn much to do anyway.

So, my bad. I will quit complaining.

3. TDP run by lawyers and political consultants
This seems to be a common complaint. However, the last TDP Chair election had two lawyers and a political consultant for us to choose from. How do we get other people to run?

Personally, I like Boyd and think he's been doing a good job.

4. We are the Party
And we are supposed to be about getting Democrats elected.

Yeah, I'll go block walking, thank you very much! Believe me, the voters I am talking to are looking for what our candidates have to offer.

Let's help our candidates NOW by contributing money to their campaigns and working field for them.
