Fort Bend Republicans Are Scared - of the Fort Bend Democrats!!
They admitted this in public! With media present!! We are LOVING this. We'd love for this to get wide play. The whole article can be found here:

Some of the extra special good parts:

Fort Bend County has long been considered solidly Republican, but several contested candidates on Thursday evening told fellow Republicans that without a unified party and adequate funding, county-wide Democratic candidates could be elected into some offices for the first time in years.

"The Democrats are working hard - extremely hard - and it's scary. So I come to you asking you to please continue to work with us," said Rebecca Anne Elliott, who is running for the District Clerk's office.

Elliott faces Democrat Veronica Torres.
-----
Treasurer candidate Jeff Council said the party needs to get the Republican vote out, "because we are seeing the Democrats are working hard." Democrat Neeta Sane also seeks the position.

Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace candidate Ken Cannata stressed party unity.

"Over the last three to four months, the Republicans have not done well and the Democrats are having a field day," he said.
-----

Even Gov. Rick Perry has expressed concerns about the state of the party in Fort Bend County, according to unopposed State Rep. District 26 incumbent Charlie Howard, R-Sugar Land. Howard said he ensured Perry that Fort Bend County will support Republicans.

For his part, Fort Bend County Republican Party Chairman Gary Gillen urged party members to put aside "petty jealousies and power grabs."
