Fun times in Sugar Land!
We had around 200 people at our Fort Bend Democrats Labor Day kick off event with Chris Bell, Hank Gilbert, Barbara Radnofsky, Shane Sklar, Nick Lampson, Al Green and all of our local candidates.

PDittie and Mrs. PDittie were there, along with johncoby. We missed you, WestHoustonDem!

Read about the good times here:

I was thinking today about how very different it used to be in Sugar Land, when we were under the thumb of DeLay and Democrats just hid out in there homes, convinced they were the only Democrat in the city. Plus, when you went to go vote, you could vote for the Republican or the Libertarian. There weren't any Dems on the ballot. This year we have FOUR Democrats running for county office and they are working their butts off.

Richard Morrison paved the way for this change and you better believe we gave him a standing ovation last night.

Wish you all could have joined us! What Labor Day political activities were you involved in this weekend in other parts of the state?

We had a good Labor Day event in Victoria, too, with Shane Sklar giving a great talk earlier the same day. About 200 showed. The only out-of-town candidate was Fred Hinojosa, Justice on the 13th Court of Appeals. DVO was scheduled but he too weary from his previous week's road trip to make the trip to Victoria and Sugarland on Labor Day. We'll catch him again hopefully before election day. 3. Looks good! I saw Shane today
and he said the Victoria thing was great!

I was just at the BAND headquarters opening and they had a lot of people there. Nick and Shane spoke, as well as Barbara Radnofsky, Sherrie Matula and others.
