Ron Paul Out of Touch, Again
Congress needs to invest in human intelligence and homeland security. Ron Paul's libertarian philosophy tells him that our security needs stop at our borders, and he has been unwilling to prioritize these critical needs in the budget process.

Recent events in the United Kingdom are a testament to the critical importance of skilled and committed intelligence personnel working together around the world.

They also show that the terrorist threat has not subsided. It's time to get serious about implementing the recommendations of the 9/11 commission, especially the recommendations on aviation security, border security and immigration.

Chairman Thomas Kean and Vice Chairman Lee Hamilton said in a joint statement at the end of last year, "Many obvious steps that the American people assume have been completed have not been. ... We are frustrated by the lack of urgency about fixing these problems."

Paul has consistently voted against fully funding counterterrorism efforts and homeland security measures like more baggage screeners.

Shane Sklar is the only candidate for U.S. Congress in 14th Congressional District who will invest in the human intelligence and security measures needed to keep Americans safe from jihadist terror.
