Monday, August 14, 2006

Republican House candidate Ben Bentzin said today he plans to withdraw from the race for Texas House District 48 in western Travis County. He will formally notify party officials Tuesday.

Bentzin, a former executive at Dell, Inc., cited new business opportunities and the negative tone in his earlier race for the seat as reasons for dropping out. He is not moving out of the district.

making Texas license plates along side Tom DeLay.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way to whereever the fuck you're going, Ben.

You couldn't beat Gonzalo Barrientos and you couldn't beat Donna Howard, and you know you'd have gotten your ass handed to you by her again. Now STAY GONE!!! Speaking as a resident of District 48, we don't want you 'round here no more!

5. Damned Librul Media
"He also said he believed there was "an imbalance in terms of (press) coverage" of the campaign"

He hired a crook and got negative press attention. Donna Howard didn't hire a crook and got positive press attention. Is that an imbalance? I guess so. Do you think the Republicans will take responsibility for their blunder? I guess not!

13. Ah, damn!
I was so looking forward to seeing him beat a third time. Oh well, I'll get over it, somehow.

New business opportunities? He's a Republican, what could be a better business opportunity than running for the State Lege? He gets to throw ridiculous amounts of money at a slim chance to gain a job that pays basically nothing so he can take bribes and misallocate funds to steal from the people of Texas. How can there be a better business opportunity for a Republican? Now that Enron's collapsed, anyway.
