3. Knew it would happen

They can only go so far in bending over for the republican train of though without totally decimating the law. It was a clear case and our lawyers representing did a hell of a job laying out the case. Kudos to them!

5th Circuit Court of Appeals Agrees with Texas Democrats on DeLay Ballot Challenge

The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Texas Democrats a short time ago. As a result, Tom DeLay remains eligible for the 2006 general election as the Republican nominee for the 22nd Congressional District of Texas.

Of course the Repubs are already planning on heading to the USSC for them to do their dirty work. If that doesn't work then they most likely will try some other scam.

This could have all been avoided had Gov. Goodhair called a special election to replace him legally and fairly by holding a special election, where the voters could have voted for his replacement. But instead they decided that the voters weren't important enough to make that decision. They only wanted to handpick his replacement not the voters.

The DeLay Repubs are bunch of idiots!

All of this could have been avoided if Perry had called a special election. The voters could have not only picked who they wanted to represent them, but they would be represented, instead of not having someone in the House.

I'm praying that Delay and this whole ordeal goes straight down in flames for him and the rest of the crooked Texas GOP.
