Thanks for the reminder John!
I turn 40 Monday and Mr. SPL won't leave me alone about what I want for my b'day.
Great concert tickets have always been the best presents. There was Omar and the Howlers opening for Stevie Ray Vaughn, Stevie Ray Vaughn opening for Jeff Beck a bazillion years ago, Joe Satriani so many times I can't count and in some of the coolest places - i.e., Rockefeller's, an unforgettable B52's concert, Stevie Ray Vaughn opening for Joe Cocker, G3 a couple of times, Jeff Beck in Dallas, Santana opening for Jeff Beck, Los Lobos opening for Santana. I've never been to a country artist concert mega concert though unless the Willie Nelson New Year's Eve concerts with my mother count. Took my mother and 20+ family members to see Asleep at the Wheel at Gruene Hall for her 60th b'day. Just as the celebration in my mind starts tomorrow being surrounded by 6000+ Democrats, I can enjoy another celebration in September with a Toyota Center full of people who share my sentiments.
