What's to do in your fine city of Dallas?
I'm going to be there 17th-24th of this month. Anything for this small town boy from the land of brats and cheese?

1. You might try Deep Elm,
If you're just wanting to see what happening with Dallas night life. Allot of clubs and live music, and people.

If you're going to Deep Ellem
Keep your money in you shoe
Cuz the folk down in Deep Ellem
Make a fool out of you.

Oh sweet mama daddy's got them Deep Ellem Blues!

Peace!

2. Lots of good little places to eat
and gay-friendly nightlife (clubs, etc.) in the Oak Lawn neighborhood.

If you like art, don't miss the Nasher Sculpture center. Also the DMA and the Crow Asian Art Collection are good.

The standard tourist destinations are:
- the grassy knoll, the JFK memorial, and the conspiracy theory museum.
- City Hall, by I.M. Pei, with a Henry Moore sculpture out front, and a nearby flood of longhorns that people like to take pictures with.
- lots of tourists like to go out to Southfork and take a picture, although that would require a car and a bit of a drive.

What do you like to do? We have all the fun usual city stuff, shopping, great restaurants, etc.

I actually enjoyed it much more than Dallas. Nice downtown area you have. We found a nice little sushi bar.

6. What are you interested in?
Art? Museums? Nightlife? Restaurants?

The Bone in Deep Ellum is cool... also the Green Room, but I think that's closed now. :( Well, the Bone has huge shots and a nice roof deck, but the music's kinda cheesy.

There's the West End... kinda touristy but still fun.

There's also Greenville Ave, or Knox Henderson/Lemmon Ave...

8. I'm not going to have a lot of time
but a good blues or bluegrass bar would be cool. Some nice places for supper for a couple of vegetarians (did get some hints on those--thanks).

13. The Green Room closed?
Bummer. Always meant to get down there, but we almost got nailed by a drunk driver down there a few years ago, so were never enthusiastic about Deep Ellum after that.
