This is already being blamed on local environmental groups by the lawyer/developer class. If they want to protect the Springs, we should "just buy the property"-Talking about the Barton Springs Aquifer. Got a spare $500 Million laying around?
Anyway, here is the story from the paper.

Evidence of blasts on equipment, road at southwestern Travis links.
Travis County deputies were first called to the Fazio Canyons Golf Course about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday after employees saw debris around a charred spot in a road leading to the club.
At first, it looked as if someone had been setting off fireworks in the street, said Capt. Art Cardenas, a spokesman for the sheriff's office. The deputies took a report and left.
Then, less than three hours later, they were called back to the course in southwestern Travis County after other workers found a piece of equipment that had been damaged by what appeared to be an explosion. Cardenas said someone apparently had placed an explosive filled with shrapnel under the seat of the machine, which is used to pick up golf balls on the course.
